Collection: Hanukkah
Gifts are an important part of many holidays, and Hanukkah is no exception. In Jewish tradition, it is customary to give gifts to loved ones on each of the eight nights of Hanukkah.
According to legend, when the Jews rededicated the temple after defeating the Syrians, they found only enough oil to light the menorah for one night. Miraculously, the oil lasted for eight nights, giving the Jews time to prepare more. In remembrance of this miracle, Hanukkah is often called the Festival of Lights.
By giving gifts to our loved ones, we help to keep the spirit of Hanukkah alive and shine a light on its enduring message of hope and resilience. The giving of gifts is not only a way to show love and appreciation, but also a way to commemorate the miracle of Hanukkah.
